I'm back.

So happy. Finally got a few days of holiday. And we managed to finish the deco in time.

(oh. And HAPPY CNY!)

So sad cos got no half day and cca suspended. And got some homework to do. ( better dun forget or weiting and farah will kill us). They said that themselves. After assembly I think. And we haven't got CLASS CHEER!

Alrights. Enough about that crap. But we really need(actually I think it's a must)to have a class cheer. Cos its like we are the odd one out cos other classes have their class cheer during jogging. So if you all have any suggestions please tag on the blog or let me and Sarah know. I don't think we have the time to discuss it during SEL due to the preparation of the fiesta.

Which reminds me...

PLEASE PROMOTE AND SELL YOUR TICKETS.

Ok I understand that there's a limit to certain stuff but do try to contribute something more. For the school and for the class. I think forgot to say that the class which raised the most amount of money gets some prize. I'm not very sure but I think that it's two tickets to Cinderella. (which is ridiculous). Anyway, it's the thought that counts (on our part I mean).

There's also a piece of good news.

Thank you everyone who stayed back for the class deco. we really did a lot of things today especially about the cny deco. And it's a bit strikingly bright red and gold smacked right in the middle of the other white classroom walls so it's kinda weird. we followed the smae theme with last year and just changed the words. hope you all don't mind cos we're strapped for time that day.

Oh. and special thanks to regina for donating all the cny deco that she bought for the class besides the hongbaos. and we also really appreciate the effort that the other people who donated their time and money and stuff t the class deco.

jkjk larhs. i'm so sorry about those people's places whom we've messed up cos we had no time to clear at all when the uncle came in to shoo us out ..So sorry. This was not done on purpose cos your place was most probably 'conveniently' near the place that we are decorating so very sorry.

Anyway, rmb to bring your passport size photos, $3.50 for hand book and $3.30 for the hcl workbook, handphone permission forms. Those who didn't hand in your lollipops, this is your LAST chance.

and erm me and sarah are thinking of meeting on sat in sch to finish up the deco.

scissors, glue, lots and lots of staplers, all kinds of tape and bluetacks. thumbtacks and red packets are appreciated too.
Those involved in the Sec 1 induction ceremony can come later.

just a short one cos i'm kinda busy right now..

oks. just returned from bras basah with maisarah and rachel. we bought quite a few class deco stuff. haha.. i'm not going to tell you what cos you all will see tmr and aniwaes we burned off a big hole in mais pocket which we will mend with the class fund.. oh. and we saw a lot cedarians there picking out stuff also, plus out of all people, MDM ER. hahaha, don't ask me why she was there.

back on track. tmr we need some volunteers to stay back and put up the decorations so those who are free, we would appreciate it if you render your service. i'll be there after cca to help out too..

and erm.. everyone has to draw a lollipop with their index number on it and one other candy, so please try to finish it up by tmr so we can put it up as the border asap. the reps who are doing their respective subject titles, please try to finish it tmr if possible.

before i forget there's health check up tmr so be in your pe attire. there's one or two people who didn't hand up their health booklet and dental form. if you know who you are, please bring it tmr

yup. so have a sweet halfday and don't forget that there's school tmr.

So. 'O' Level results are out already! Yippee! Cedar's Sec 4 class of 2008 achieved magnificent results. Yeah, ok, it's not as if we don't know. =.=

So, tmr will be a HALF DAY! Yay! :)

Haha, ok, I guess I'd better get going with my other stuff. :)

Ahem...

Sorry about that. But I really need to announce some things that concern all of you. Actually a lot.

1. Cedar Fiesta.

-Latest update
The class com has already submitted the proposal but we didn’t include the cupcorn because it has to be cooked during the funfair. However, if you all are still keen on that idea, I will propose it again because during the meeting, Mrs Lee pointed out cupcorn as an example.

-Cookies
Farah can only supply a limited amount of the cookies/ cupcakes, so we need more volunteers to bake about another 360 of them. If possible some of our classmates can help out at your own kitchen with your parents’ approval.

-$$$
I know that’s ridiculous but I don’t know what title to put in. Anyway, we need to estimate our budget so that we can draw the appropriate amount of money from the class. As such, we need to find out what’s the cost of the ingredients (except those which people has kindly donated and thank you very much). Hopefully, the funds can be donated by next week because time is running out and the event drawing near.

-Tickets
We have all received the tickets to sell and there would be a weekly collection of it. As the FTs already said we are not supposed to sell coupons in public or solicit donations. It is not compulsory to sell all five tickets per person. It is the basic number that the school has set and they hope that we could achieve that so please put in your best effort to do something for cedar and do the class proud. Oh. And you have to sell one whole sheet of the coupon not tear it up and sell one by one. If you lose them, you’ll have to bear the cost of it.

2.Class decoration

-Background
Chiew Ling , Rachel and I are going to Bras Basah for the bigger art and craft shops to select the stuff on Monday. People are welcome to join. So we will show you some samples on Tuesday and hopefully buy the materials on Wednesday to be put up.

-Volunteers PLEASE> PLEASE>PLEASE.
I know I sound very despo but whatever. The deadline is on the 21 Jan (Wed) and we desperately need people to pitch in to help. Like drawing candy like lollipops and sweets. And people to stay back would be extremely appreciated. Materials to provide such as colour papers, glue and scissors.

-Lollipops and other Candy
Please try to finish them by Wed. Each lollipop is to be A4 size.

3.CNY decoration
-Red packets Alicia , ccy and some other people have already kindly donated some of their hongbaos for the decoration and I hope that there would be more red packets for us to play around with like last year’s CNY decoration. Signs with auspicious Chinese characters are also welcome. Please try to bring the stuff by the end of next week before you forget.

4.Surveys
- Parents’ survey Online at school website not LMS regarding HSl and contacts. Please complete it as soon as possible.

-Students suvey
On Lms regarding the new school building colour. Please complete asap also.

5. Dental form For those who didn’t hand in, please do so by tomorrow.

6. Cedar Got Talent This is basically a competition organized by the Pcs an PSLs to raise funds for the school. Each class has to participate as a individual or as a group (can consists of a whole class). The forms had to be handed in by Wed so we need to come up with an item soon.

7.Health check on 14 Jan
Please be in your PE attire

carin! love the class cheer you thought of man. you should be, like, the ideas manager or something. haha.

oh, i was wondering. do you all wanna have a 2i book club? cause carin and i have been thinking about for quite some time already. you can post about a book that you've read or something. you know, give reviews, opinions, anything at all. and it won't have to only be about books. you can tell us what you think about something you read in the newspaper or some magazine.

oh, and one more thing, though, you'll have to use english. no singlish. its okay if your sentence structures and all are wrong cause that's kindof the point of having you all write. to sort of improve your english. and it'll help with characterisation in lit. i think.

i hope i dont sound like some... i dont know.

i'm not really good at all these blog stuff so i'll need help. with setting it up i mean. like the skins and link. cause the template format's changed already right? i prefer using the previous one.

also, like i said before, it doesn't have to only be books or reading materials. you can give reviews about movies as well. but dont just keep yakking about the hot guy in the movie like i do on my blog. talk about the plot, the flaws, if any. yeah.

Because it's 2009 now. And oneiball is like history. Not a very nice memory also (the name I mean) .Plus it's our last year together as a whole class so I think we should make the effort to do something.

I think we should come up with a new class theme and class cheer. And decarate the class.
