Hello people.

Today's class outing was so fun! :DDD

It was fun. :) For those people who didn't turn up because of CCA or on holiday, it's ok. There's always a next time. :) But for those people who didn't come because of some other 'unimportant reasons', YOU SHOULD HAVE COME, OKAY? Sorry, don't mean to be fierce.

Here is the 1I turtle that we made! :D

Okay, I'm here not to give a review of our class outing, of course not, but I'm thinking of organising another outing.
Wait, let me get this clear first. This outing that I'm gonna plan is NOT an official class outing, but I just hope some of you can come...

(I've deleted the details and sent it to your emails already. Not very good to publish it here for everyone to see...)

FOR THOSE PEOPLE BUYING DRINKS, PLEASE LISTEN UP.

Maisarah found out that the shops in Vivo only opens at around 10, including Giant. So for those people who's thinking of buying the drinks at Vivo, we obviously can't purchase them from Giant anymore. But you can go to 7-Eleven in Vivo, which is 'open 24-hours', to buy. If you don't know where the shop is, don't worry, it's beside the cinema at level 2. Just come early and one of us (who has reached) can accompany you.

The exit of Habourfront MRT station to Vivo will be open, of course, just that the shops in Vivo won't. But do look out whether you're in the correct place, cos you should be near Candy Empire!!! (I really do sound like a nag! Argh!)

In any case, JUST COME EARLY AND BE PUNCTUAL AT 8.45!

Oh ya, pls bring along any sports equipment that you think will be relevant for the outing e.g. frisbee or beach ball.

Thanks!

(I might still be posting some more things here later on in the day. Please stay tuned!)

I shall skip the greetings to save time. xD

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL REGARDING THE BISHAN PARK/J8 OUTING. I sent 2 emails to everyone, the first one about the details of the outing and the second about the confirmation of the date of the outing.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE SMS ME TO TELL ME WHETHER YOU CAN COME OR NOT, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO CAN COME!

Thank you so much for your cooperation! :)

from your monitress :D

P/S: Yes, Carin, we should start thinking of our class name already. Gee, I'm excited for the new year! :) (Haha.)

Hi people!

As you know, I'm organising this Bishan Park/J8 outing. I posted the details on this blog a few weeks ago but I've removed it already (due to INTERNET SAFETY xD). However, I sent 2 emails to all of you --- the first one about the details and the second one about the confirmation of the date.

SO PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL! If you can make it for the outing,

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE SMS ME TO TELL ME!

Thank you so much for your cooperation! :)

from your monitress :D

P/S: Yes, Carin, we have to start thinking of our names for 2I already. Gee, I'm so excited for the new year! :D (Haha.)

ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMENT!

1) We have 8 free passes for the entrance fee to Sentosa. We are currently deciding who to give these passes to. We decided to draw lots so it's fair. We have not drew the lots yet but will do it on Friday to ensure fairness once again. (If we draw someone that did not come on that day, we'll redraw for that pass again.)
Since we're going to Sentosa by the Sentosa Express (it's a train, NOT monorail, that connects Vivo to Sentosa), we have to pay $3 for the train ticket. The ticket is 2-way, so you need not worry about coming back. So those ppl who have the free passes need not pay anything for the transportation fee, whereas the others have to pay $3 in total.

2) For those ppl buying drinks, you can choose to bring them from home OR go to Vivo and buy.
If you bring from home, it will be quite heavy and bulky and inconvenient. However, if you buy at the Giant in Vivo, you will have to come earlier. So the choice is yours! :)

3) We need ppl to buy/bring the following items:
- Ice lemon tea (we can actually go there then buy though)
- Bee hoon/fried rice
- Cookies (if you can)
- Milo packet drink (I can't bring cos I have too many things to bring)

For the bee hoon or the fried rice, if nobody is able to bring, then it's ok. For cookies, it would be best if somebody can make more cos Farah is actually making cupcakes (yummy!). But once again, if nobody can make, never mind.

4) We appeal to everybody to BRING AS MANY FOOD OR DRINKS AS YOU CAN! Please! Cos it seems like there isn't enough food for everybody. Also, this is going to be our lunch! If there's little food, I don't think we'll be full. Then, we'll have to go back to Vivo and eat again. -_- So we hope everybody brings some food, okay? Thanks! :)

5) Okay, I know I sound like a nag, but please be punctual! We don't want to wait for ppl until 9.30 or so! (Just an example.)

6) Please inform your friends (who are going) to check the class blog every day, cos I'll be posting more updates here regarding our class outing, and it'll just be for these 2 days! So please, call or sms your friends (who are going) to check this blog!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR COOPERATION! :D

from your monitress :D

P/S: HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO REGINA AND SNEHA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EVAN!

LATEST ANNOUNCEMENT!

Yes, this is about the class outing. We need people to buy/bring the following items:

- Ice lemon tea
- Bee hoon
- MORE cookies

For the bee hoon, it can also be replaced with fried rice or some main course that we can eat. Cos some ppl prefer to have a main course then snack on other food. :)

Please message me (Rachel) if you can provide any of the above items ASAP.

Once again,
1) we would appreciate greatly if everyone comes punctually. We will leave for Sentosa at around 9am.
2) if you're taking MRT, exit through the Vivo City exit and when you come out, you should be near a shop called 'Candy Empire'.
3) bring any items that you think will be useful during our outing e.g. beach ball, beach volleyball, picnic mats.

Yes, speaking of picnic mats, I can bring my --- big --- picnic mat. But just to be sure that there's enough space for all of us to sit, bring your own mat also. (It need not be very big, as long as 2 or 3 ppl can sit, it's fine.)

*Note: if you can't find the correct meeting place, call me or any of your friends whom you know are going. Or you can check the directory for the shop 'Candy Empire' then just head towards that area.

Thank you and see you on Friday! :)

Even though somebody has already volunteered to bring this particular food, you can also bring more of it if you want to, e.g. chips. We know a lot of us like to snack so we have to bring more of chips! :)

Disposables
Plates: Natalie
Cups: Carin
Forks and spoons: Rachel Loke

Even though your name is not mentioned above, we hope everybody can bring sthg to share. After all, it's pot luck, where everyone brings sthg. It need not be in a large quantity for the whole class.

Oh yes, we would appreciate if everyone arrives PUNCTUALLY on that day. :)

Before I end of, just another gentle reminder to all: please check this blog regularly for any new announcements.

Hi 1I. After looking at Rachel Loke's touching post, I felt that I should dedicate a post to those I am grateful to.:)

Firstly, to the class com, especially XY AND RL. I mean, they put in so much effort in every single class activity yet sometimes we just don't listen and pay attention.Well, we should change our attitude and put ourselves in their shoes. It is also sad that it is the last day Rachel Loke is serving 1i. but she will be going on to serve the school! YA, and for the rest of the class com, u all have also done a great job by working closely together with one another!

Next, to all my table partners. You are all so awesome:) From TSM all the way to Max. U all have been so nice. I mean u all dont give my headache, give me respect and laugh our heads off sometimes. It has certainly been a joy to sit beside u all!:)

Thirdly, the girl behing me JAIME!!!!She is so nice lar, always lend me her maths stuff for me to do corrections. I think she truly desreves the second prize, right?

Fourth, JASVEEN! I mean at the start of the year, we were not on very good terms but we slowly grew to discover each other's strengths, instead of just focusing on our flaws.

Lastly, everody in 1I!!! I may not have mentioned ur name, maybe it slipped off my mind but anyway, if u noe that u have beeen nice to me I love you (as a friend not a les of course). :)

Before I end off I would like to apologize to those whm I havoe offended in one way or another. I am sorry. Sometimes I just cannot control my temper.

Have a good holiday!-Jiasi

Hello 1I.

Today is the last day of school.

I know everybody is very excited that the hols are finally here, but I feel kinda sad that one year of friendship has passed for us.

Can you remember the time when we had our Orientation Camp? Everybody was so blur and shy. But now, here we are, together as a class. I know this seems weird, but yes, I just can't forget the memories that we have together.

I know there were times where I was angry with the class, but I have never given up. I know that someday, we will come together as a class and cooperate. I know that we will have happy memories together in our two years.

Sad to say, one year has already passed. Did we make full use of our friendship together in this year? Hmm...

Let's walk down memory lane also. xD

When we first started our Orientation, everybody was very shy and blur, oblivious to what's happening in our surroundings. We didn't dare to open up as what we are now, that's why there was some communication breakdown. I know you guys find the performance a disaster, but take that as an experience. I mean, it's through experiences that we'll learn and progress further.

Second, was the first class decoration. We didn't do a good job, I admit. Cos actually the teachers came in the middle of the time when we were cutting the wallpaper for the notice board.

Also, there was the CNY decoration. I loved it man! It was fantastic! This was the first time in the year so far until the period that we worked as a class properly. I was so happy you know? Our decorations looked very nice and complete. :)

Next, was the PSGM skit. We didn't discuss properly the content so it ended up bad. I know some people blamed me and Xin Yu for coming up with such a lousy skit, but hey, we had no choice because we didn't cooperate with one another. Okay, yes, now's not the time to push the blame.

I cannot forget the buzz@canteen. Once again, we couldn't come up with what we want to perform, but in the end, we still survived through the whole thing. We decided to pick on At the Beginning to sing as a last-minute decision. With a bit of help from Mrs Loh, we managed to rehearse right before recess. I loved the way we sang together in unison in the canteen, even though the song was very long.

Home Econs Dinner was fantastic. Me and Xin Yu were super busy during this period, and it was very stressful, especially since we had to do most of the job. I know that our preparation before the dinner went a bit wrong, that's why the class comm ppl were so busy. However, in the end, everything somehow turned out right. Okay, maybe except for the part where we were so much ahead of time and we couldn't find any more performances. But again, that, was an experience. I loved the way everything fitted together in the end, and this actually tells me that we, 1I, can work it all out together. Even though we didn't raise a huge sum of money, I think it's not the amount of money that matters. It's the teamwork and amount of effort we put in that counts.

Our General Knowledge and Current Affairs Quiz was a blast! Me, Rachel Rankine and Idelle all did very well and that caused us to win the quiz! Oh my gosh, I was so excited you know? This was the first time when we won a class event! :DDD

I shall skip to today. (Cos TARA 3 has started!!!) Today was very fun! Don't you agree? I mean, we had our class cleaning and even though the class was very dirty, everyone chipped in and played our part in one way or another. We also played some class games and cheered our class cheer and did the Friendship Dance! :DDD It was very fun, and I had this feeling once again that our class is united. And this is the way how I want our last day of school to end. :)

Hi everyone. I'm here to remind you about the NYAA thing again. Cos some ppl didn't hear just now. =.=

During the breifing last week, the teacher said that you have to complete the whole thing by July next year. HOWEVER, that is only a personal guide for you. YOU NEED NOT NECESSARILY FINISH ALL THE ASSIGNMENTS / TASKS BY JULY NEXT YEAR. By right, you can choose to finish it by the age of 25, but the school wants us to finish it by the time we reach SEC 3. So if you personally feel that you won't be able to complete the Bronze Award by July next year, you can slow down your pace and suit yourself. But of course, it's better if you get it done asap.

So does everyone understand now?

hello, can anybody else come and post? (INSTEAD OF ME ALL THE TIME?!)

CONGRATS TO THE PPL WHO GOT THE TOP 10 IN OUR CLASS! :DDD and of course, our wonderful, super, ultra smart xin yu, WHO GOT 1ST AND 3RD IN THE WHOLE LEVEL!!! but don't worry, we shouldn't feel jealous of her or anything, we should be happy for her! omg, i can't believe she's that smart! anyway, congrats to everybody, no matter whether you did well or not. for those who didn't do as well, it's ok. just work harder next year and i'm sure you'll be creditted for your hard work! :D once again, congrats to those who did well! we'll celebrate as a class in our class outing. :DDD

speaking about our class outing, can we discuss and confirm again tmr? i'm very sorry for being so undecisive about the dates and all, but you know, i want more ppl to come. WE'RE A CLASS RIGHT? (ok, we'll speak again in school.)

THERE IS NO SCHOOL THIS THURSDAY, 16/10 cos there's Sec 4 Graduation/Promotion Day.

i know that you guys will be very happy. HEY! that day is actually a good time to have our class outing! :))) however, me, carin, jeslyn and jaime have our leadership training. :( ouuh, otherwise it'll be a perfect day to hold our class outing.

rmb, it is pot luck! meaning that everybody has to bring some kinda of food to share. :) i think that's nicer, more unity. :) anyway, we may be pushing forward our class outing one day earlier, MAY only. because many ppl have been telling me that they cannot make it to the outing and if there's more than 7 ppl who cannot make it, we'll have to change the day. (currently, about 12 ppl cannot make it on our current date so we'll discuss again on when you guys want the class outing.)

YAY, AMAZING RACE IS STARTING! (means i gtg now. haha.)

yup, that's all i have to say here. i think you can confirm with alicia if you still have any doubts regarding the post-exam activities.

Friday, October 10, 2008

YAY PEOPLE! THIS IS OFFICIALLY THE 100TH POST OF THIS BLOG! :D

Okay, anyway, i just wanna tell everybody that for the pot luck, everybody has to bring something. it's fair this way. you know why? in this case, we can get to share things with everybody and this promotes class unity! (i'm not writing an essay...) seriously, i hope everyone cooperates and listen (and not reading storybooks) cos this is going to be a class event. i hope nobody comes to sms me just 2 or 3 days before the outing and ask me what's the outing all about etc.

Yes, continuing from my second sentence, if anyone suddenly feels like bringing anything at the last minute, feel free to bring them, especially if it's sthg that's not being brought by anybody else. even if you're unsure on whether it's going to be brought by other ppl, just go ahead and bring it. There might not be enough food, who knows? yup, and rmb one very important thing: ALL FOOD MUST BE HALAL. worse come to worse, we'll just have to separate the halal and non-halal food on that day, which is quite troublesome...

7:59 PM

Hi people, the previous post came quite a shock to me, actually. ^^ sheesh... anyway, good job jeslyn, for taking a bold step! Btw, we don't mind you posting here on this blog cos it's a CLASS blog and anyone from our class can post things here, be it pictures or encouraging words etc. :D

A lot of people has asked me about the class outing. hello? what do you think? (sorry for the tone.)

OF COURSE WE'LL BE HAVING ONE YEAH? It's just that we currently have no time to discuss as a class but hopefully, we'll be able to do so tmr. Also, some people thought that the Mama Mia! The Movie was the class outing. don't worry, people, if we're having an official class outing, we'll definitely inform everybody and confirm again and again the date, time etc.

So far, we have the following suggestions:
1. Sentosa! (maybe a picnic or some outdoor games.)
2. Bowling

For the picnic, I personally prefer Sentosa to East Coast Park cos in Sen., the beach is cleaner and softer and bigger. Then we can have a beach picnic there and we'll have pot luck! Hehe! it's basically like everybody brings sthg to the picnic and share with everybody. e.g. this person brings drinks or that person brings crackers --- sthg like that. (btw, i have this very big mat that can take everybody on it. if we're serious on having a picnic, i can use my big mat! :D) how's that? ^^

Don't worry, there's no hurry. we still have around one more week to think about what we want for the class outing. oh ya! just to remind everybody before hand, ALWAYS WEAR CLASS TEE TO THE CLASS OUTING! :)

So how's everybody's results? i know many people were feeling the jitters and nervousness before getting back the papers, and i admit, i was one of them too! Haha, anyway, don't be too disappointed or disheartened with your results. there's always next year. :) We can always try harder next year! (: For now, let's just relax and celebrate the fact that the exams are over! Let's look forward to our class outing! :)

Btw, THERE WILL BE LESSONS AS USUAL TMR. RMB TO BRING THE EXAM PAPERS ALONG.

Monday, October 6, 2008

hello 1i! it's been quite a few days since we've seen each other... anyway, i'm here to tell you guys more about Wednesday.

as everyone knows, we're gonna get back our papers on Wed at the Kolam Ayer CC just outside our school. we'll still have our first and second lessons of the day as usual, then Mr Chan will bring us to the CC hall and that's where we'll get back our papers. however, i don't see how we can get back ALL our papers in one day, especially since the teachers are going to go through the qns with us... or maybe not, i'm not sure... unless the teachers just let us know our marks or sthg. HAIYA! we'll see how things are like on that day itself, okay? yup, also, when we go to the CC hall, bring along only a green pen, calculator and question paper if it's with us. do not bring anything else. (since we need to bring a green pen, we'll most likely be doing corrections or sthg like that right? so i still don't get how everything's gonna squeeze in one day...)

for now, let's talk about sthg more pleasant... ^^ i wanna discuss with you guys when and where you wanna have a class outing. (I'M SO EXCITED! haha.) some people are asking me whether the movie-watching is a class outing or not, but nope, it isn't. if it really is, we would have informed everybody about it. we'll organise an OFFICIAL class outing for everybody to attend. besides that, i predict there'll be other outings too, organised by certain ppl, but those won't be compulsory for everybody to go, e.g. today's outing to the movies. so, i hope there's time for us to discuss tmr...

anyway, all the best for your results on Wednesday! i'm sure everyone will do well. :D

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

okay, this is rachel loke here. i know a lot of people want an official class outing, and yes, of course we'll have one! :D does anybody have any suggestions? we can't book a chalet cos it's too late and there's gonna involve a lot of work. perhaps if we're really serious about having a chalet stay, we can leave it for next year? anyway, i was thinking we can go to sentosa! :))) of course, i don't mean go and visit the attractions, unless you really want, cos it's gonna be real expensive. maybe we'll just play on the beach or have a picnic? haha, i know this sounds very childish! so we need more suggestions so as to where to have our class outing. don't worry, we can take our time to decide unless you guys want it before the hols. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US MUST GO FOR THE CLASS OUTING. it's understood, actually, since it's a CLASS outing. haha. okay, when we meet again in school, we'll discuss further okay?
